I loved Literacy Connection on Saturday. Loved it! There were so many wise and passionate educators packed into the media center of an elementary school. Then to top it off, we CHALKED with Betsy in honor of Chalk-a-Bration, which is officially the last day of the month. I hope you'll participate too. Just chalk up a little bit of sidewalk with an illustration or some poetry or a few words, snap a photo, share it on your blog and link up with Betsy. Here is the round up from August for more inspiration.
Cathy Mere collected all of the Tweets from Literacy Connection with Storify. Check them out here.
I'm loving this display for Banned Book Week from Rachel Moani. Check it out and file the idea away to use sometime in your corner of the world.
Claire and Tammy write about "Assessment: Demonstrating Growth Versus Growth Mindset" on their blog, Teachers for Teachers.
I was inspired to start collecting resources on Discover. Play. Build. Facebook page to make it easier for people to find charts, photos, and resources that I share during workshops. Right now I have things all over (!), so I'm beginning to sort through how to make them easier to access for you. I'd love to hear your thoughts or suggestions about ways to share files that would make them easy to access and organized. :) If you're a Facebook user, I'd love for you to join me on my new page, Discover. Play. Build.
I loved the conference too. You had great ideas to share and the chart showing what part of the process students are currently practicing is brilliant. It was great to see you and chalk with you too!
ReplyDeleteLearning, sharing, chalking fun! Thanks for spreading the chalky cheer!
